Here’s an announcement from Youthworks –
“The Archbishop of Sydney, the Most Rev Glenn Davies, and Youthworks Council Chair, the Rev Chris Braga are most pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Craig Roberts BEc BD(Hons) DipMin MA(Theol) to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Youthworks. Craig will be joining Youthworks after fourteen years as the Senior Minister at Neutral Bay Anglican Church.
“Having become a Christian myself as a teenager, and seen the impact of quality youth and children’s ministry on my own children, I relish the opportunity to lead the ministry of Youthworks forward,” says Craig. “I pray that God might enable us as an organisation to have a similar impact for Christ, not only among children and youth, but across all generations of our Diocese for years to come.”
Youthworks’ Chair, the Rev Chris Braga, says, “We are delighted Craig has accepted our invitation to become CEO of Youthworks. We are excited by his vision to see every generation teaching and encouraging every other generation, so that under God, churches flourish and the next generation are established to trust, love and follow the Lord Jesus until he returns.”
In his time at Neutral Bay, Craig has led the church through significant transformation and a major redevelopment of the parish campus for gospel expansion, and is an active member of the Sydney Diocese’s Synod and Standing Committee.
Prior to entering Moore Theological College, Craig worked for twelve years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he gained a deep grounding in the oversight of complex businesses, financial analysis and HR management of numerous companies.
Craig is married to Libby and they have three children. It is anticipated that Craig will begin his role at Youthworks in early January next year with a period of handover from Dr Laurie Scandrett, the Interim CEO.”
