St Mark’s National Theological Centre is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the positions of Lecturer in Pastoral Theology and Lecturer in Mission and Ministry.
The Lecturer in Pastoral Theology will be nominated as an adjunct staff member of the School of Theology, Charles Sturt University (CSU) and will be responsible for the teaching and oversight of subjects and courses in the field of pastoral and practical theology.
The applicant will ideally have a research higher degree in theology, preferably a PhD, with some evidence of research and publication in the specialist fields of pastoral and practical theology. The successful applicant will be required to teach subjects and courses of study offered within the CSU School of Theology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and will preferably have experience in the supervision of students at the Honours, Masters and Doctoral levels. The appointee will coordinate the Certificate of Intentional Pastoral Practice and be involved in the development and delivery Diploma of Anglican Orders program in and beyond Canberra.
The Lecturer in Mission and Ministry will be nominated as an adjunct staff member of the CSU School of Theology and will be responsible for the teaching and oversight of subjects and courses in the field of Christian mission and ministry.
Applicants need to be an experienced Anglican deacon or priest with demonstrated teaching gifts and proven leadership skills. The successful applicant will facilitate field education and supervise post-graduate students in a range of ministry settings. The appointee will also coordinate the St Mark’s Diploma of Anglican Orders and be involved in the continuing development and delivery of the Certificate of Intentional Pastoral Practice in and beyond Canberra. The successful applicant will have a minimum academic qualification at the Masters level.
